About Me
Game designer and overall creator. I enjoy creating with multiple mediums. I've been drawing most of my life, then transitioned to other mediums. From sewing, item fabrication, wood working, electronics to sculpting and painting. Once in game design, I learned that developing was fun when you can see what you have programmed working after writing the scripts. I currently lean more on my programming skills within projects, but can adapt to almost any role needed. In Unity I have an advanced knowledge of most modules, from the console to occlusion culling, ai navigation, and even UI (User Interface) elements. Recently, I have also began working in Unreal Engine.
Resume/Experience
Hatalom Corporation
Technical Designer : Nov 2022 - Apr 2024
I worked here as a technical designer using Unity. I developed scenarios, or on screen learning for the military, specifically the Navy. We utilized Jira software to track our work and progress. Over my time here, I strengthened my overall development and design skills as we had to plan from conception to vertical slice development. This project timeline give me valuable insight into how projects are tracked and created from start to finish. I was a pivotal part in the initial creation process and how the interactions between the user and software would work. We used an asset package called Playmaker to set up the state machines that drove the scenarios from start to finish. This allowed us to isolate objects and turn them on or off as well as perform actions on them if the time was necessary.
Razor Edge Studios
Developer : Jan 2020 - Mar 2020
This position was remote and did not last long due to personal life. I had to move and did not have internet to continue my work. While I worked here we worked on a contract system that would allow the user to create "contracts" to use within the game. I'm not quite sure what they did, but it was allowing the user to create game content. My skillset was still limited at this time as I was unsure how to help with some of the creation process.
Inhance Digital
Developer : Aug 2019 - Dec 2019
My work was cut short here due to a change of staffing and them shutting down the Orlando branch. However, I did enjoy my time here. I was working with VR and AR with the Oculus Rift and Microsoft HoloLens respectively. Using these devices we constructed a simulator program that highlighted a new sensor system called FARA by Lockheed Martin. The simulation allowed the AR viewer to see a "Battle Board", or a top down view of a terrain with helicopters over it. While the VR viewer was actually in the helicopter. I did the animations in Unity for the battle board and copied the movements of the 3D videos I was given from Unreal Engine. The AR viewer had control of the different scenarios and could select them at will. This would sync all the users and play the corresponding scenario. There were 10 scenarios I believe and they ranged from low visibility such as fog and recognizing powerlines, to defensive counter measures upon combat entry.
